Everything You Need to Know Before You Move

How do you calculate your quotes, and will my price change on moving day?

We operate on a strict “No Hidden Fees” policy. Unlike companies that give you a vague estimate based on weight, Kerb provides an all-inclusive, guaranteed flat-rate quote. We calculate this based on your actual inventory and the distance you are traveling. Once we give you that flat rate, it is locked in. The price you agree to is the exact price you pay.

Do you handle small local moves, or just big cross-country relocations?

We do both! While we are famous for our long-distance network, we bring that exact same level of premium, professional service to local moves. Whether you are moving down the street, upgrading to a bigger house in the same city, or relocating your business locally, our full-time, highly trained crews treat your local move with the utmost care and precision.

Where exactly do you offer your moving services?

We proudly service major hubs across the entire United States! From the West Coast (Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Sacramento) to the East Coast (New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Miami), and all the major cities in between like Denver, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, and Atlanta. I absolutely hate putting things in boxes. Do I have to pack myself?

Not at all. If packing up your kitchen or boxing up your fragile items sounds like a nightmare, just leave it to us. We offer fully customizable packing services. Our trained experts will arrive with top-quality materials—from heavy-duty boxes to custom containers and moving blankets—to securely wrap and protect your entire home. You don’t have to lift a finger.

Can you also transport my car to my new home?

Yes, we can! Driving a vehicle across the country can put unnecessary wear and tear on your car (and your patience). Through our dedicated auto shipping services, we can transport almost any type of vehicle directly to your new destination. We coordinate the vehicle transport perfectly alongside your household move, so everything arrives safely when you need it.

What happens if I have to move out, but my new place isn't ready yet?

This is a very common situation, so don’t stress! If there is a timeline gap between your move-out and move-in dates, we provide premium, highly secure storage services. Our movers will safely load your belongings, store them in our clean facilities, and deliver them to your new front door the second you are ready to receive them.

How far in advance do I need to book my move with you?

As a general rule, the earlier you reach out, the better! For long-distance or cross-country moves, we recommend getting your quote and locking in your date at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance, especially during the busy summer season. For local moves, 2 to 4 weeks is usually a safe window. That being said, if you find yourself needing a last-minute relocation, give us a call anyway—we will always do everything we can to accommodate tight schedules!
